Query to USERS table not allowed

Query to USERS table not allowed was created by Enzo
Hi,
I need to add a join to the joomla users table:
left join JOOMLA_users c on a.user_id=c.id

but it is reporting "SQL-statement not allowed".

Any idea?

for security reasons any query of USER-table is not allowed (as e.g. you could query passwords)
